Help with Comcast Internet Service: APS works with Comcast to provide the Comcast Essentials program for all APS students that qualify for free and reduced lunch. Services are $9.95 a month.   www.internetessentials.com

Need help to pay for Internet service? The Affordable Connectivity Program helps households struggling to afford Internet service. It will provide a discount of up to $30 per month towards Internet service to eligible households, as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 to buy a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating Internet providers. APS Food Information

General information regarding APS Food Services can be found here: Food and Nutrition Services

• Elementary school students attending APS summer school will receive free breakfast and lunch.
• Secondary students attending APS summer school will NOT receive free or reduced breakfast or lunch unless they qualify for Free/Reduced meals by June 30. If you are unsure if your family qualifies, you can contact Food Services at (703) 228-6160. Students attending summer school can still apply online here until June 30.
• APS encourages all families who believe they may be eligible for free and reduced meal benefits to apply online in August for the new school year.
• Students attending Barcroft, Drew, Carlin Springs, Randolph, and Barrett are the exception to this because these schools qualify for community eligibility provision.

Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)

You may pick up food once a week. You must have referral to get food. To get a referral: Call the Arlington Department of Human Services at 703-228-1300 or talk to your school social worker before the end of the school year. Bring a photo ID and proof of your Arlington address with you to pick up food for the first time, when you’ll be given an AFAC client card. AFAC will not share your information with anyone. If the weather is bad, check www.afac.org before you go.
